The Neosho Bass

A living jewel of the Ozarks, whose story flows through the heart of America like the very waters it calls home. The name itself carries ancient wisdom – “Neosho” comes from the Osage language, meaning “clear, cold, swift water,” a perfect description of the crystalline streams where this fish makes its home.

Like a hidden treasure in the nation’s heartland, this bass graces only a select few watersheds – the mysterious spring-fed rivers of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. There, in the ancient rocks of the Ozarks, these bronze-flanked wanderers patrol clear pools and riffles, their presence as deeply rooted to these waters as the limestone bluffs that tower above them.
